It came out in and made the series a trilogy. Uncaged is the debut novel in John Sandford’s Singular Menace series, co-authored by Michele Cook. In this novel readers get to meet Shay Remby for the very first time. Check out the action and adventure series that others are calling fast-paced and high octane!. Best-selling writer for adults Sandford co-authors this surprisingly languid thriller, which stuffs most of its action into the final 50 pages—presumably saving material for the next book in the series. The interesting-enough story is further hobbled by generic characters and patches of lazy, florid prose. I'm a huge fan of John Sandford and his prey series and also his Virgil Flowers books. UNCAGED is NOT one of those and the fact that Michelle Cook is listed as one of the authors tells you a lot about this book. I found it okay reading, but it is not a Sandford book by any means when compared to his trademark stories.
