"Danse Macabre" is part of a symphonic poem he wrote called Le Rouet D'Omphale, which means Omphale's Spinning Wheel. This piece is based on a poem written by Henri Cazalis. The poem sets the scene at midnight, portraying Death's appearance as skeletons rise from their graves and begin to dance. Laura M.
